The proposed itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi national park
A Bamboo Ecotours representative will meet you up at Kigali airport or at Kigali based hotel and drive to northwards to Bwindi forest national park. The drive from Kigali to Bwindi will take utmost 5hrs. Optional activities for the afternoon include canoe trekking at Lake Mutanda, Kisoro market visits, coffee making tour, Batwa cultural experience, etc.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure at Bwindi forest national park
This is the day you've been waiting to encounter the mountain gorillas in the natural home. The trek will start early morning after breakfast. We will drive to the Bwindi forest gate to join a pre-trekking briefing scheduled by national park officials. The short talk will cover the basic rules for the gorilla trek. Afterwards you will start the walk into the forest to track the gorillas. After the trek we will drive back to Kigali. Note that since gorilla trekking can take up to six hours, it is advisable to stay in Kigali the night of day two. If you plan to fly-out of Kigali on day two, make sure your flight departure time is after 10pm Kigali time.

Optional activities to do during the 2-day gorilla trek: Additional activities to do during the two-day gorilla trek at Bwindi National Park include Batwa community cultural experience, coffee making tour, and canoeing at Lake Mutanda. All optional activities should take place on day one.

The 2 day budget gorilla trekking safari allows you to travel from your destination to trek the famous mountain gorillas at Bwindi National Park in Uganda in two days. You may choose to travel to Kigali, Rwanda or Kampala, Uganda as your starting point. A Bamboo Ecotours driver will pick you pick up and drive to Bwindi forest national park to prepare for gorilla trekking on Day two.
